Crayon Shadow Box

I made this cute shadow box for my awesome sister in law who is also an awesome 2nd grade teacher. It is super easy. You will need:
a shadow box any size (mine here is 8x8)
crayons (the ones I used I had my 3 year old play with a bit)
hot glue gun
chip board sticker/saying or other embellie (this embellie is a Me and My Big Ideas Every great Dreamer Banner)

Start out by removing the back of the shadow box and if possible the glass as well. If you can remove the glass replace the chipboard backing and trace around the inner edge of the frame. This way you know how far over you can glue crayons. Next just start gluing. Put them in any order or disorder you choose. Once you have it looking as you like either finish it off with a cute saying or sticker or just leave it as is.
I hope you enjoy this little craft.

Photo Canvas Project

For this fun and easy project you will need:
a canvas (any size)
paint
a photo
die cuts
foam brushes
mod podge

To start paint the entire canvas with the color or colors of your choice. Let it dry completely.
Next put a thin layer of Mod Podge on the back of the photo and die cuts. Make sure to smooth them out to ensure there are no air bubbles. Let it dry. Next put a liberal layer of Mod Podge across the entire canvas. Once it is dry you can put additional layers on to achieve the desired look.
Hope you enjoy this first of many projects!

Here we go.

Well I am jumping on the bandwagon. My hope for this blog is that it will give people inspiration to be crafty and show great ideas for inexpensive crafty ideas. I hope it is a blog you will come back to time and time again.
